Refuge, Rights, and Community: A Learning Series on Immigration 

The U.S. refugee and immigration system is now under direct political and policy attack.

This fall, join Arboretum Coffee, ISAAC of Northern Colorado, CWS Fort Collins, and Alianza NORCO for Refuge, Rights, and Community: A Learning Series on Immigration. This three-part public series is your entry point to get informed, equipped, connected, and mobilized. Together with national experts, local leaders, and directly impacted community members, we’ll dig into what’s happening, why it matters here in Northern Colorado, and what you can do.

Panel 1: Refugee 101
Sunday, September 7 | 3–5 PM
Who are refugees? What is the global refugee protection system, and why is it under attack? Learn the history of U.S. resettlement, hear stories from lived experience, and understand what’s at stake today.

Panel 2: Immigration Law
Sunday, October 26 | 3–5 PM
Policies are shifting rapidly, cutting off legal pathways, benefits, and protections. Explore how these attacks play out nationally, in Colorado, and right here in Fort Collins, and how our community can respond.

Panel 3: White Supremacy & Refuge (Film Screening)
Sunday, November 9 | 3–6 PM
Screening of Refuge followed by a critical conversation on the rise of white supremacy, its impact on immigrant and refugee safety, and how communities can resist hate.
